This gum has been down for some years now. In our testing, it is burning long/slow, and hot.
Cut to length to fit in your standard-sized fireplace. This is approx: 300mm long and split into grab-sized pieces. Ideally, when you start your fire, you will use a soft or medium-density wood and create a good bed of embers before you put your gum on. Check out our slab wood and our chippy/kindling cut!
We recommend that when you stack your wood, you elevate it off the ground a little and leave a small gap between the rows to allow for air flow around the wood. Because this is a hardwood, it won't re-hydrolyze like pine does when it gets rained on. It will just be superficial.
